We went to Idaho for Thanksgiving! We were able to spend time with both families.
It's tradition. The day after Thanksgiving the Linville's go up in the mountains to sled and cut Christmas trees. They were lucky to find snow. There wasn't any on the valley floor. And they lost a couple of trees from the car roofs on the way home. :) The trees were fine.
While Jon's family went sledding and Christmas tree hunting, I quilted a quilt at my mom's for my friend, Maria. She deserved one. She graduated from nursing school. And she's one of my oldest friends.
My ENTIRE FAMILY was at my parents' home! Except Nate. :(
But everyone else was there. The last time we were all together was at Thanksgiving 6 years ago when my Grandpa died. We probably won't have this many of us all together again. To date, 34 grandkids with 2 on the way. We cleaned out the garage and ate Thanksgiving dinner in there with the wood stove burning hot. It was cozy. :)
There are so many things I'm grateful for. Family definitely makes the top 5. It's crazy to think we were all little and living in the same house and fighting over Barbies and bathroom time. 20+ years has gone by so fast. Where will we be in another 20?
