Jon and Jeff and James and Aaron all went Elk Hunting this year. They suck at taking pictures. So, this is the only one I received. (At least Nate took pictures of the landscape.) They saw elk 2 days in a row. They all shot their guns at the elk at least 2 times, some shot 5-6 times, and NO ONE actually shot an elk.
Elk Hunting isn't really about getting an Elk.
Amanda, Logan, Elizabeth, Jordan, Sam, and Aaron, and I all went to see the 9:00 showing of Catching Fire! Sam was a little disappointed that it wasn't the "Midnight" show, because that's what I promised if he read the book. But he felt a little better about it when I pointed out that we still wouldn't be home before 1:00 am. Yes, I made them all go to school the next day.
The movie was GREAT! As Sam pointed out, "Much better than the first one."
Elizabeth and Aaron with their physical therapist, Nathan. He's AWESOME! Aaron had 7 sessions with Nathan to learn how to use his butt more and his thighs less, to take some of the pressure off of his knees. Elizabeth has a lot more sessions than that to help her recovery from ACL surgery.
Jon taught Aaron how to change brakes. The brakes in the Dodge Dakota that Elizabeth drives were HORRIBLE! They needed changed about 6 months before they were. :)
We hosted Elizabeth's rugby tournament at our Church again. This is her team. Coach Dill lettered her because even though she tore her ACL and had surgery, she still went to EVERY practice and missed only the 2 games immediately after her surgery. I had a couple of moms tell me that our Church is beautiful and they were impressed that we don't charge people to use it. The mom in charge left the 3 male coaches' gifts out in her car - expensive wine. She didn't think she should bring it into the Church. :)
Kate was in her school play. It was cute. Something about needing a Christmas Vacation. The kids get snowed in at school on the last day of school before Christmas break. Kate played the Drama Teacher. (She's in the blue shirt and black jeans.)
Sam was in choir this semester. The boys had a concert at Tagawa Gardens, a local nursery.
